Sullivan Rooftop

You all know my friend and neighbor Amanda is in school for Architectural Design. You can see other posts about Amanda and I out adventuring here. SO on her Summer break from the New School she decided to put her talents to work on her boyfriend's rooftop. She did an amazing job and we did a little photo shoot to document her hard work. She made everything herself, from the seating to the cushions to the pillows.  Quite a talented young lady you should keep your eyes on!

More PRM

My life has been consumed with this movie I have been working on this last 10 days. Hence the blog heavy content focused on images and posts from it. It has been a blast. Here are some more beauties from shooting last night. (SIde note for those of you who know my love of all things Martha, we are shooting in the same building as her offices/studio! I am SOO close!)

My new favorite DP

Here are some behind the scenes shots of me and the Cinematographer, who by the way is RAD!  Her name is Dagmar Weaver-Madsen and you can check out her website here.
The stuff is beautiful. We were just goofing a little in between scenes. You know, gotta blow off a little steam.

Plato's Reality Machine

I have had the pleasure of working on a film the last week or so. We are on Day 7 and it has been a blast. The cast and crew have been great and I am learning a ton about making movies. I am doing stills on the set as well as DIT which basically is in charge of all the footage each day. It's all keep my quite busy and on my toes. Wanted to share a few of my favorite stills so far. Also go check out the Facebook Page and "like" us to keep up with all the latest on the movie!!  Here is the link.....Plato's Reality Machine

Storm Clouds Rolling In

We had a little thunder storm roll in on the city this evening. It was fairly impressive. We had a great view of it as it blanketed Manhattan and lit up the Western sky.  I took some video but since it will take some time to edit and actually make a clip of it I thought I would just pull a couple stills to post. This friends is a big reason why I moved here. Ca doesn't know how to do a storm like this. :)

I finally used the gift certificate I got for Christmas from my little sis, Jill. She and I took Trapeze lessons when she came to visit me last year and she knows how much I love it. So last week I took another class and I am kicking myself for waiting so long. It is SO DARN FUN!!!! I have learned new tricks every time and they are getting so fancy and cool. Today I was so excited to try the set split. It just looks so circusy and trapezey! I know that neither one of those are words but that is the only way to describe it. I let me camera run and got a video that ,while it is crap lighting you can see my catch on my new trick LOVE IT!  Take a look.

Bastille Day for real day

I know it took me awhile but wow it's been busy. So a little retro blogging is in order. I celebrated my first Bastille Day in New York a few weeks ago. You do know Bastille Day right? It is officially  La Fete Nationale in France and it commemorates the 1790 storming of the Bastille, a fortress prison and was seen as a symbol of the uprising of the modern nation. What does that mean for us now? A Festival of course!! And a Petanque Tournament in the middle of a Tribeca Street. And Can Can dancers and Jazz bands! Free hats and parasols! Oh and a guillotine to make it all the more realistic. Or something like that.

Let the games Begin!!

Good Sports but very serious.

Measuring. No cheating!

How do you keep track of your balls?

For the losers of the Petanque Tournament. :)

Mmmm St Germain, my favorite.

Tout va Bien.....yes, yes it is.
