Post Tourista Tour

After our big adventure to the top of NYC we were pretty pooped but wanting some dinner. We kinda wandered and found ourselves near the Flatiron building. One of my favorite buildings in the city and right near Madison Square Park. We found a few places to consider in my NFT book but had a little trouble finding them. The Shake Shack looked very popular but the line was so long there was no way that was an option. So we walked a few more blocked and Mom saw a string of lights that beckoned us down a side street. Jackpot. Almond was delightful. We had a window seat so we got the benefit of outside sights with inside temperatures. Perfect. And the food......oh my.

Mine was the Ravioli of goat milk ricotta and swiss chard with lemon cream, chiogga beets and hazelnuts.

Mom had grilled sea scallops with sweet peas, baby carrots, polenta ravioli and duck prosciutto.
Yeah. Uh huh.

Of course we had a walk after dinner but with sights like this, it is most pleasurable.

Panama Day 5-Howard

This was the most surreal hour and a half of the whole trip. We made our way out to Howard Air Force Base (which is no longer an AFB) and found our old house. Just looking at the photos I get emotional all over again. Not that I broke down crying or anything but it was really weird standing in a place that holds so many memories.  Here is me freaking out that we found it!!! Our old Street! Coffey Avenue! Exploring the old digs!  This stairwell led up to the door in the kitchen. It was a little creepy so I just filmed from where I was.  :-/ I don't do creepy. Here we are in front of 60A Coffey Ave!    That "hill" behind my mom seemed so much bigger when we lived there. I remember my dog running down it and tripping, which led to a head over heels tumble that still makes me laugh when I think of it. And that fence used to be a favorite spot for three toed sloths to hang out.  ...

Inspired

I live in an amazing city. I am constantly people watching and I find the style and the unique expression of that style so fascinating. I decided it was time to start playing with my style more. Not only in my fashion choices but in my hairstyle as well. I have always felt a little schizophrenic in my style, but I always try to have a little fun with it. As most fashionistas I wake up and decide who I want to be and how I want to express that person each and every morning. Today I am feeling low key and comfy as I run out to do some errands in the city. Take a look and let me know what you think. I will start posting daily outfits just for fun.

Coat Week-Day 7

Well I missed a few days even though I had these in the can. Ooops. Here is Day 7 of Coat Week and I saved the best for last. I think this is by far my most favorite coat. I love the color, I love the shape and details. I got it here in New York a few years ago from Banana. It was on sale and I have never regretted spending that money. I wear it all the time. It hasn't aged at all and neither has my love for it. What do you think? Coat-Banana Republic, Top-F21, Sweater-UO,Jeans-Uniglo, Boots-Wild Diva
